Well princess Milerna does decide to marry him (she went to Hitomi for a fortune reading and Hitomi kind of fudged it so that Milerna would marry Dryden and she'd have Allen to herself). Things don't go too well. They're plunged into an immediate war. Dryden becomes king because Milerna is heir to the throne and he sanctions policies to try to stop the expanding empire (he does his part to help without plunging into immediate war). When the war ends, Dryden decides to give up the crown and to go help rebuild with the rest of the people to "try to become the man she deserves". Milerna points out that she may not still be waiting, but you can see that deep down she probably wishes she loved him.. This doesn't phase Dryden. He's still sure she'll love him eventually. He's such a cool guy! I personally think he's far too good for Milerna, but I guess if she'll just stop whining and think for a while she might grow up a little.
